Al Zahiyah, previously famous as the Tourist Club Area, is a highly accessible neighborhood in Abu Dhabi that depicts the lifestyle of cosmopolitan living within UAE's second most populous emirate. The change in the region, particularly since 2014, has been breathtaking. Abu Dhabi Municipality initiated the destruction of old, vintage buildings that were built as far back as 1968 to pave the way for a modern urban landscape. The area revamp project involved the construction of new buildings and skyscrapers that enhanced the aesthetic and functional appeal of the region.
