Al Warqaa was named because of a prevalent bird that resembled a dove ('warqaa' in Arabic). Al Warqaa is an upscale community, which has five sub-communities, viz. Al Warqa'a 1 to Al Warqa'a 5. Al Warqa'a 1, Al Warqa'a 2, Al Warqa'a 3, and Al Warqa'a 4 are residential communities in nature, while Dubai Safari Park comes under Al Warqa'a 5. The community continues to expand with additional residential developments and shops being introduced. While Al Warqa'a 1 is highly developed, there are other stages that continue developing, all in a uniform theme of peace.
Design within the neighborhood aims to develop a family-friendly environment with landscaped courtyards, community parks, and well-arranged luxurious villas. It has an extremely high density of facilities that range from eating and shopping centers, grocery shops, schools, mosques, and clinics. There is a community center in the center of the neighborhood that concentrates most facilities. Al Warqaa 1 is highly sought after since it is situated very close to Al Awir Road (E44) and Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (E311) and provides easy access to all local amenities. Al Warqaa 2 and 3 are also favored, consisting of a mix of 4 to 5-bedroom villas and affordable apartments.
Residential buildings in Al Warqaa have rental flats within mid-rise developments and large villas. For purchasers, options are mostly limited to independent villas. Apartments typically feature blue glass facades of contemporary architecture, private parking area, in-house maintenance, security with CCTV camera, central air conditioning, and concierge services. Amenities for structures can include children's play areas, swimming pools, guest lobbies, and high-speed elevators.
Transportation & Parking
Locals and visitors in Al Warqaa are generally not confronted with finding it hard to park spaces as there is a large area of open space available. Villas offer private parking areas based on the size of the house.
Public Transportation in Al Warqaa
Al Warqaa 1 is connected by Rebat Street (D83) to the north, a major highway. Other major transport routes are Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (E311) and Al Awir Road/Ras Al Khor Road (E44) to the south. While numerous bus stops are found on these roads and within the community, other public transport in Al Warqaa is scarce. Traveling by car is challenging without a vehicle, though taxis are available.
Metro Stations: There is no direct metro link to Al Warqaa mentioned. Residents would need to rely on bus services or drive to the nearest metro stops in neighboring communities.
